Meryta sinclairii Puka, Pukanui

This coastal tree has large leathery leaves to about 30cm long. Endemic to three kings and Hen and Chicken Islands.

Common in Northern gardens. Frost tender.

Purple berries which germinate readily if the seeds are washed from the fruits.
