Dacrydium kirkii Monoao
Tree reaching 25 m. Found in Northland forests
This is one of New Zealand's most intriguing trees.This tall conifer has distinctive juvenile and adult forms, often with both forms on the same branch, as the above picture shows.The adult form is on the left, the juvenile on the right. It is also dioecious having male and female trees and is rare in the wild.
