Laurelia novae zelandiae          Pukatea

A tall tree of swamps and damp places. The seed of this species is dispersed by the wind and can be difficult to collect once a suitable tree is sourced as the tree can be particularly tall and beyond climbing or reaching with a ladder. I have gathered some seed at the base of the tree. Recalcitrant so keep moist when sown.
